Retreat to Bliss Yoga Retreat Recap
We returned to Palmaia, House of Aia for the third time to retreat and be immersed in the lushness of the jungle right alongside the beauty of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.
We retuned to remember who we are without the roles and responsibilities, the labels, the distractions of day to day life.
We returned to Aia to come home to ourselves through the practice of breath and movement, stillness, meaningful conversation, meditation, body work, laughter, somatic release, sunshine, energetic cleansing with the healing herb Ru, delicious nourishing food and most important, a mini community to hold us tenderly.
We returned to Aia because it is such an extraordinary experience from start to finish. It amazes me year after year that Aia continues to add to her original elegance and guest experience. It is not easy for a property of this size to continue to surprise and delight over and over. The people behind this place bring it to life and scoop you up in their architecture of intentional healing, warm, wonderful guest care and the most beautiful ceremonies and experiences. Our favorites… Balder, Angel and Aurora.
We returned for the blissful practice spaces, the dinners shared, the sunshine, the inviting rooms, the laughter, the laughter, the monkeys, the lizards, the beach, the bats, the iguanas, plantissa, the agoutis, the guacamole, the ceremonies, the smoothies, the practices together, the sharing (even when it was hard), the body work, the deep conversations, the bikes, the walking, the coconuts, the paddle boards (even the ones we brought with us lol), the birds, the cenotes, the live music (stand by me by SC), the new friendships, the plans for the future, the gorgeous details of every single space on the property… and so much more.
Thank you to the retreaters who trusted Stephanie and I. We loved witnessing you soften back into yourselves as we all grew in one way or another… together. These retreats are one of my favorite ways to share the practice of yoga in an intimate setting that encourages personal growth, true restoration and meaningful connections with others doing the same work. I am beyond grateful that I get to build and create these experiences. I hope you will come on retreat with us soon!
