The Akron RubberDucks are a Double-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, located in Akron Ohio.
Inner Bliss yoga teachers Daneen Farrall and Kim Rush worked directly with the team's Strength and Conditioning coach to coordinate yoga classes into the athletes' training schedules, which can begin up to 7 hours prior to game time.
When yoga is offered to the players it is the first thing they do when they arrive at the ballpark. Through a very rich feedback process the teachers were able to continue to provide yoga classes that directly meet the needs of the players.
The RubberDucks play in Canal Park located in downtown Akron, which seat 7,630 fans. The nickname "RubberDucks" refers to Akron's history in the rubber and tire industry.
A few RubberDuck Alumni that player or are now playing for the Indians, including Jason Kipnis (2010), Manny Ramirez (2000), Grady Sizemore (2003), and Carlos Santana (2008-2009).
