The Wandering Yogi Visits Flex Yoga in Wooster, OH

It was a beautiful fall day in Cleveland so I decided it would be a great day to take in the scenery and check out Flex Yoga in Wooster, Ohio which was about 75 minutes from home.

The studio was located in a darling little city in the heart of downtown Wooster. Just pulling into this town reminded me a calm, simpler time. I loved it!

There was plenty of street parking available to park and get to class on time and as I walked up the steps to the second floor I liked the clean, open, bright feel of the building and yoga space. They have a full boutique filled with oils, jewelry, books and clothing for both adults and kids with an extremely welcoming staff. They really made me feel very comfortable in their space.

Flex Yoga has a full schedule offering kids classes, Aerial yoga, Barre Classes Ashtanga, Basics, Relaxation classes and Vinyasa Flow. My vinyasa flow class that I attended started at 12:00PM and went until 12:45. This lunchtime class is a great way to get your yoga on while still leaving enough time to get back to the office.

When I first walked in to the actual studio space I was a bit intimidated by the full wall of mirrors. While I don't love watching myself practice it does help master alignment. Kate led the class. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and her flow was perfect. She was challenging but not too rushed and she incorporated many twists as well as some ab work which I for one always need.

Although it was only a 45 minute class it felt complete and I left ready to discover more of what this quaint town had to offer before getting on the road to head back to Cleveland.

If you are looking for a quick afternoon get away I recommend taking a drive to Flex Yoga, there are many outlet shops along your way if you wanted to consider making a day of it!
