I think that everyone has his or her own version of a “coming to yoga” story.

And while each one is deeply personal, they all have a common thread: we come to this practice hoping to find ease. Whether that is ease in the body, mind, or spirit -- we come to alleviate some level of what we refer to in the yoga world as “suffering.“ After dabbling in yoga on and off since I was young (thanks VHS tapes), I began a steady practice after graduating college, which was right when I needed it most.

It took some time for me to come to the idea of teaching, but after two 200-hour YTT’s and a lot of encouragement from my mentor, I eventually fell head over heels for teaching. I have run the gamut from teaching invigorating hot power classes packed full of mats to teaching trauma-informed sessions at eating disorder facilities, and I love it all. Having the opportunity to give someone the tools that they need to find ease within themselves is a humbling experience, whatever format it comes from. I approach each class with the goal of empowering students to listen to their bodies and challenge their self-doubt. My classes are very breath focused and have been described as "sneaky hard."

I practice yoga because… it brings a balance to my mind and body that I had long been seeking.

I teach yoga because… I believe in what this practice can do.

I find peace… in nature. Nothing like a walk among the pines or going barefoot in an open field.

I am most inspired by… music.

I am happiest when… I am able to spend down time with my family.

When I’m not at Inner Bliss, you might find me… loving on the animals at the Cleveland APL.

Every day I… reflect on what I am most grateful for.
