prompts.

As many of you know, I began a committed writing/journaling practice back in March when Covid moved in. With a simple journal and my favorite flair pens, I rise early each day, practice a meditation and then I write. It is therapeutic for every thread of my being.

When things work for me, I like to share because I remember over and over, we are actually not that different on the inside. My doubts, worries, fears, insecurities, neurosis, etc., are not that different from yours. If this practice has helped me, there is a good chance it could help you. So I share.

I haven’t used journal prompts exactly, but some days I wish I had one. Just like a yoga practice, it is helpful and sometimes transformational, to be guided.

With The Experience beginning in a few days, I have decided to encourage a daily journalling/writing practice as part of our cleanse and will offer a prompt each day. I thought I would share a few here and maybe you all could try them out. As we share, we learn. As we practice, we get stronger. As we share and practice together, we grow 💜

  1. What lights you up? List 1-2 word answers and then expand on the ones that zing you with a charge when you write and read them over!

  2. Describe in vivid detail how you would like to feel all day today.

  3. What is the one compliment (unrelated to your appearance) you seem to get over and over?

  4. When was the last time you laughed so hard your face hurt? What was so funny? Who were you with?

  5. If you were eliminating clutter from your life, what are the 15 things/items you would keep - things that make a difference in your day to day enjoyment of life?

Have fun writing! It’s a worthy practice.

Big love, Tammy
