Studio Lead for River and Westlake
From the first moment I stepped foot into Inner Bliss I knew this would change my life. My first yoga class was a night when Cleveland Vegan brought dinner, we got to practice and eat together and it was the most humbling experience I've ever had. Ever since then yoga has become an addiction for me, I constantly crave the next class. What will I discover? What new pose will I nail? Who will I meet? Who will I connect with? Being a part of this team has been one of the greatest things to ever happen to me, and even my shifts working at the desk have led me to meet so many amazing people. Every experience is better than the last and I have all the amazing teachers, yogis, and friends at Inner Bliss to thank for that.
Why yoga? Yoga is more than just a workout, its a way of life. It changes your perspective on everything. It changes your attitude and outlook. Its something you can practice in a studio, in your home, at an office, in a park, on a beach, in your car. It stays with you. (And it IS a great workout!)
What makes you come alive? Helping, uplifting and encouraging others. It makes me excited and happy when I am able to help someone achieve something or start something. Especially when its anything creative!
Three words to describe your personality? Creative, Generous, Thoughtful
Life before yoga? I was very tired and sedentary all the time. I was not very outgoing and I did not communicate well. My social life was lacking and I felt incomplete and unhappy.
Life After yoga? Yoga has taught me it is okay to feel and have emotions and that its okay to be yourself and to be confident! It gets me moving and want to be moving. This in turn has given me more energy, given me more confidence, and taught me how to be mindful and how to speak to others. Ive made so many friends just from being in the amazing yoga community. I am a much happier and more pleasant human to be around.
Secret pleasure? Stories. I get completely lost in compelling stories, whether its TV shows, Podcasts, Books, Comics, True Crime, a friend telling a story.. I can lose days!
What is in your backpack? Not a whole lot, if it weren't for the convenience of throwing it over my shoulder I probably wouldn't need to even carry one.
What impact do you want to leave on the world? I would really love to open a Cleveland based location for the Innocence Project one day.
If you had 4 legs & you were furry, what would you be? A black cat.
You are stuck on an island and can bring 3 things. What would they be? My husband, my daughter & my dog. And we would pretend it was a vacation ;)
