Play, Move and Be (ages 5-19)
Megan teaches kids yoga with the objective of providing children an opportunity to get in-tune with themselves and the beings of this world.
Her goal is to foster open-mindedness, open-heartedness, loving kindness, and intentional action.
With the use of music, games, creative play, and experiential activities, kids will learn poses that energize, motivate, calm, and focus them.
Megan believes in the inner wisdom of each child and so aims to join with students in what they know about themselves, while providing a structure that will allow kids to have fun and learn ways to calm, cope, and lovingly care for themselves.
Megan will offer different ways of doing poses through discussions and demonstrations that will show comfortable and safe approaches to doing yoga for all young yogis!
Tween Yoga (ages 8-12)
Kristina is a licensed K-12 Intervention Specialist and is knowledgeable in developmental and social emotional learning strategies.
Her tween classes are not only energizing and relaxing, they also incorporate stress management techniques to help your child succeed in the classroom.
Kids can expect 60 minutes of physical activity that includes a vinyasa flow including some yin poses and breath work. I try to match the energy level of the kids on that day. The last 15 minutes we have talk about a topic guided by the kids. Some topics that have been covered more recently is bullying, compassion, global issues, and anxiety.
