We all know the saying, “When one door closes, another one opens.” This presents itself to us now more than ever. While millions of doors are closing as we stay safe at home, I feel my heart bursting open as I witness the many acts of kindness happening throughout our community. Physically we are apart, however I’ve never felt more interconnected than I do now as we are truly #inthistogether. It is so apparent, that just as this virus is highly contagious, are emotions are as equally powerful and infectious. While I run in solitude, I am greeted by warm smiles and friendly waves by those passing by. I see messages of hope written on windows and driveways and neighbors supporting each other from a distance. When we choose to place our focus on the small joys and wins each moment offers, we begin to change the emotional state all around us….it is contagious! Not to spoil the ending, but in truth we already all know. Love wins.
