Our Tribe is Working with The Tribe!

A team of Inner Bliss teachers has been spending time at the ball field!

Katie Brown, Jackie Quinn, Daneen Farrall, Lanie McManus, Sally Brooks and Dawn Schroeder are traveling to the Indians' affiliates in Lake County, Columbus, Akron and Mahoning Valley to offer regular yoga practices for these teams. We've even practiced with the Indians at Progressive Field!

We asked Tammy a little bit about this exciting partnership:

How would you describe your experience working with the Indians organization this year? Working with the Indians organization has been as outstanding experience. Their team of experts has an appreciation for the practice of yoga and the wide range of benefits it offers. They realize that integrating a regular yoga practice will serve their athletes not just today but in years to come.

I am continually impressed by the team's deliberate and intentional approach to the strength and conditioning of all of players, both major and minor league. Their long range commitment to offering regular yoga practices for their athletes is incredibly progressive.

How does yoga help baseball players? A regular yoga practice can improve a player's range of motion and flexibility. Not only does this enhance performance, it aids in injury prevention. A regular practice of deep, rhythmic ujjayi breathing enhances mental focus and helps to alleviate game day tension. The experience of breathing and moving together encourages connection with the other players and coaches who are participating.
