Yoga teacher Tammy Lyons suggests incorporating a simple but very beneficial home practice if you haven't gotten to an in-studio yoga class.
After your evening meal has digested, find a warm, dark space in your home and lie down on your mat.
count 20 deep breaths in and out
take a supine spinal twist with knees to chest (5 -7 breaths each side)
- happy baby (5-7breaths)
- place your legs up the wall with butt cheeks against wall (20 breaths)
- supported plough pose at the wall (5-7 breaths)
Crawl into bed & sweet dreams! This is a practice that you could invite your whole family to join you in. If you have any lavender oil or lotion, rub it on your palms and neck before beginning!
