Erin Shows Up

After having my first baby, I found that the practice and mindset of yoga helped me embrace the challenges and beauty of that first year as a new mom.

At three in the morning while nursing a fussy baby, I'd try to remind myself : be present in the moment, even if it's uncomfortable, accept it and feel it and breathe.

Physically, practicing yoga helped me realign and heal my body and ultimately reconnect with my spirit of self.

In those moments of pure joy, holding my laughing or sleeping daughter, yoga taught me to open my heart fully, to drink it in, to sink into the beauty of that tableau that would soon be taking motion and changing once again.

Today, with my second child now just two weeks old, yoga has helped me focus on gratitude, something that always grounds me to my center and feel my connectedness to the world around me and remind me to celebrate.
